  • Go to Apmex.com
  • Find the "bullion" menu on the right sidebar of the home page.
  • Click on "silver"
  • Click on the third photo on the top row on the selection of silver products. The photo will be of a bag with the title "Silver Coins 90%, 40% and war nickels).
  • You will arrive at the main page for junk silver coins

Types of junk silver available at APMEX:

  • 90% Silver Bags (Generic) - These bags contain coins that have 90% silver content. These bags will contain multiple types of coins from dime, quarters or half dollars. Or they contain all dimes, quarters or half-dollars. However, every coin will contain 90% silver. This is a great low-cost way to buy junk silver. You can find bags that contain anywhere from a couple ounces of silver in a bag to 375 ounces of silver.
  • 90% Silver Bags (Specific Coins) - These bags will contain 90% silver coins and you will have the choice of what type of coins you want in the bag. These bags cost a little more. But you will have a uniform group of coins that will make it easier for you to keep track of your junk silver holdings. Some of the coins you can chose from are Morgan Dollars, Peace Silver Dollars, Liberty Walking Half Dollars, Franklin Half Dollars, Kennedy Half Dollars and Mercury Dimes.
  • 90% Coin Rolls (Specific Coins) - For those who want a smaller amount of junk silver in rolls, you can chose to buy junk silver rolls. Some of the rolls available include 20 Morgan dollars per roll, 20 Barber Half Dollars per roll, 20 Walking Liberty Halves per rolls and 50 Mercury Dimes per roll.
  • 40% Silver Coins (Coins, rolls and bags) - For those who are interested in 40% silver coins, you can purchases these in bags, coins and rolls.
  • 35% War Nickels (Bags) - You can also find 35% silver "war nickels" in bags
